Taxonomy is Roberto Fega, Graziano Lella, and Elio Martusciello. Almost quietly and without unnecessary roars, this trio has released an agile and slim album, one that after a few listenings firmly takes place in your cd player. A Global Taxonomical Machine is made of microstatic, granulous bursts, and of evocative, placid and never too silent silences, often interrupted by sly-as-a-serpents-kiss acoustic forays. The magnifiyng lens the trio uses has been already tested on many live occasions-the three musicians generate a sound path made of microscopic, isolated cells, each one of them being the constituent of larger structures. This is errant electroacoustic music, moved by a quest for the detail; an acousmatic shadow-line that-as in the beautiful Behind Me-crosses and trespasses different stylistic strata, always with an economy of means, careful not to get stuck too long in too fixed a place. These are fast and serene neural migrations that move along a series of sensorial, fascinating ellipses; that rummage between improvised spasms and sneaky, minimal instances; a sarcastic behind-the-scene aftertaste that makes all the difference. These pieces seem fantastic, strange stammering creatures, grown in the shadow of a mountain made of doubts; they are simple creatures that move continuously and involuntarily forward right when you stumble upon them; they are rude and not really talkative; they do not offer easy grips to be interpreted with, only a general fragrance floating in the air after theyre gone, a particular, interior resonance that deeply shakes without ever being hostile. Harmony and awareness. Action and praxis.-Marco Carcasi in Sands Zine

Taxonomy defined as classification, especially in relation to its general laws and principles; that department of science or subject, which consists in or relates to classification. Terence amusingly articulates by enumerating examples of the varied forms of illusions humans are entertained, intrigued and frightened by. This talk is a particularily anecdotal way to approach the study of the imaginal, the illusive and anomalous. Terence McKenna, informs and delights his audiences through many media. As an accomplished author of more than four major works of fiction and non-fiction depending on ones belief system; voice of at least three hundred audio and video titles; and participant in numerous popular CDs, Terence is infiltrating the mind at large with his outlandish theories and at an alarming pace.

A nursing diagnosis is defined as a clinical judgement about individual, family or community responses to actual or potential health problems or life processes which provide the basis for selection of nursing interventions to achieve outcomes for which the nurse is accountable.

Accurate and valid nursing diagnoses guide the selection of interventions that are likely to produce the desired treatment effects and determine nurse-sensitive outcomes. Nursing diagnoses are seen as key to the future of evidence-based, professionally-led nursing care – and to more effectively meeting the need of patients and ensuring patient safety. In an era of increasing electronic patient health records standardized nursing terminologies such as NANDA, NIC and NOC provide a means of collecting nursing data that are systematically analyzed within and across healthcare organizations and provide essential data for cost/benefit analysis and clinical audit.

'Nursing Diagnoses: Definitions and Classification' is the definitive guide to nursing diagnoses worldwide. Each nursing diagnoses undergoes a rigorous assessment process by NANDA-I with stringent criteria to indicate the strength of the underlying level of evidence.

Each diagnosis comprises a label or name for the diagnosis and a definition. Actual diagnoses include defining characteristics and related factors. Risk diagnoses include risk factors. Many diagnoses are further qualified by terms such as effective, ineffective, impaired, imbalanced, readiness for, disturbed, decreased etc.

The 2009-2011 edition is arranged by concept according to Taxonomy II domains (i.e. Health promotion, Nutrition, Elimination and Exchange, Activity/Rest, Perception/Cognition, Self-Perception, Role Relationships, Sexuality, Coping/ Stress Tolerance, Life Principles, Safety/Protection, Comfort, Growth/Development). The book contains new chapters on 'Critical judgement and assessment' and 'How to identify appropriate diagnoses' and core references for all nursing diagnoses. A companion website hosts NANDA-I position statements, new PowerPoint slides, and FAQs for students.
